Hilton Behrmann
March 15, 1960 - March 27, 2003Hilton was Laurey's life-partner and soul-mate. He was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and immigrated to Chicago in 1985. Hilton and Laurey met in Chicago in 1989 and were married in 1994. They shared their lives, their love of Rhodesian Ridgebacks, and their passion for the wild lands. In 2000 they made their home by the Klamath River in California. After fighting a long battle with a rare bone sarcoma, Hilton died quietly at home, holding Laurey's hand.
He remains forever in the hearts of many.
Zilah
December 11, 1994 - January 13, 2003Zilah (CH Samara's Poshi) was Bundu's first RR and the beloved companion of Hilton and Laurey. Known affectionately as "The Big Red Bitch", she was a stunning Ridgeback of Shangara lineage. She passed away at Bundu after suffering a critical injury inflicted by a wild elk (wapiti).
Zilah was waiting for Hilton on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
